Moreno is coming off a huge title win in a rematch against Kai Kara-France at the co-main event of UFC 277 where Moreno defeated Kara-France via third-round TKO and is, therefore, the interim-flyweight champion now, this also makes him eligible to fight the undisputed champion, Deiveson Figueiredo for the fourth time.
Yanez is one of the fastest rising prospects in the current UFC roster. Coming through his fame out of his impressive knockout win at Dana White’s Contender Series 2020, Yanez is 16-3 in his overall MMA career with 12 finishes, 10 of them via knockouts. Yanez’s latest victory became the biggest for him when he shut Tony Kelley down inside one round after having a huge back and forth during the build-up of the fight which was based on Kelley’s racist comments towards the Brazilian fighters during one of Kelley’s girlfriend, Andrea Lee’s fights.

Moreno was then asked about reacting to Yanez claiming to be the best boxer in his division since Moreno is fond of the boxing aspect of mixed martial arts, as evident from his bouts.
“That guy is a monster man,” says Moreno “Be careful whoever the next opponent is be careful about him because Adrian Yanez is doing great and amazing things.”
