These control freaks who project the grooming of kids onto other people are usually fundie Christians of some flavor, because Christian evangelism is all about converting the heathens. That’s why they can’t conceptualize acceptance and tolerance of others as anything besides “indoctrination.”

I think a lot of the reason libraries seem to get targeted for these types of things more often is that any old nut can stroll down to the public library to find something to raise a stink about, but far fewer actually can get themselves together enough to read deeply into what their local governments are doing and then attend a school board or city council meeting to raise said stink for two-minutes.
