He was quick to call out Ladd in a Twitter post and claims that Aspen is suffering from the Stockholm Syndrome and she was his coach’s victim and accused her coach to be a sexual predator. Sean Strickland is set to take on kickboxing legend Alex Pereira in July according to reports. Whereas Aspen Ladd lost her last fight against Raquel Pennington earlier this month. His coach Jim West came under scrutiny for his behavior against Ladd in her last October fight.

Sean Strickland wants title shot after the Alex Pereira fight

Sean Strickland is preparing to take on Alex Pereira in the coming months. He is on a six-fight win streak. His last win came against Jack Hermanson a few months ago.

In an interview given to Helen Yee, he claimed he is confident of getting a title shot if he knocks out Alex Pereira. He said, “With it’s like, this, kind of like, scary thing. Like, it kind of gets me excited, you know. You see him, you’re like, ‘Oh man, like, you’re a big scary looking kickboxer. I want to fight you.’ So I do like the fact that he does have that unknown factor, you know. New blood. I mean, new blood.”

Alex is a former kickboxing world champion known for knocking out the current middleweight champion of the world Israel Adesanya in a spectacular fashion. He has beaten Israel on multiple occasions in the past. It’ll be interesting to watch and see who wins this bout and becomes the title contender next.
