And just like that, the 2022 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour is officially over!
On Sunday (December 18), Celeb Secrets headed to The 305 for Y100’s Jingle Ball at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, FL for one last concert of 2022. With a lineup including Charlie Puth, Anitta, Backstreet Boys, Tate McRae, Flo Rida, Big Time Rush, Ava Max, Lauren Spencer Smith and Jax, we knew we were in for a high-energy night filled with this year’s chart-topping hits.
The love for Broward County was unbelievable on Sunday, as Jax donned a Tua Tagovailoa jersey while singing “90s Kids” and “Victoria’s Secret” before Flo Rida jumped into the crowd to be closer to his hometown audience for an explosive version of his smash hit “Wild Ones.” Every seat inside South Florida’s FLA Live Arena was taken with eager fans singing along to Lauren Spencer Smith’s “Flowers;” Tate McRae’s “She’s All I Wanna Be;” Ava Max’s “Kings & Queens;” Anitta’s “Envolver;” Big Time Rush’s “Boyfriend;” and Charlie Puth’s “Light Switch.”
The biggest moment of the night came from the Backstreet Boys, who not only closed out Y100 Jingle Ball, but also the entire tour. Kicking things off with their breakthrough 1997 hit “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson donned matching white outfits while singing classics like “I Want It That Way,” “Larger Than Life” and “As Long As You Love Me.”
The band of nearly 30 years showed that there’s no sign of their career ending anytime soon, as they perfectly executed their legendary choreography while singing their rendition of Wham!’s “Last Christmas” from their new Christmas album A Very Backstreet Christmas. The track is currently sitting at the top of the charts for four weeks in a row, making it the perfect way to end the night as it put everyone in the holiday spirit nearly a week before Christmas Day.
The 2022 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour kicked off in Dallas on November 29 and made stops in Los Angeles; Chicago; Detroit; New York; Boston; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta; and Tampa, with its final show on December 18th in Miami/Fort Lauderdale.
